New car sales are still going strong in 2016 and dealers are offering a lot of incentives to keep it that way.  It might be hard to believe but in just a few months the first 2017 models will start rolling onto lots. Some vehicles will only have minor updates but for those that will either be all-new or totally redesigned, there is much anticipation.

Here are 7 exciting new vehicles for 2017:

2017 BMW M2 – The all-new BMW M2 is certain to live up to the moniker, “The Ultimate Driving Machine” when it launches, almost literally, onto roads later this year. The 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six pumps out 365 hp and can propel the car from 0 to 60 in 4.0 seconds. This is a fun car to drive.

2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV – The Bolt is intended to have a range of over 200 miles, which is nearly double that of the Nissan Leaf. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will both be available along with many other features, delivering a smooth driving, well-appointed electric compact hatchback.

2017 Fiat 124 Spider – It’s been over 30 years since Fiat sold a Spider in America and the 2017 124 aims to be the triumphant return from FCA. The rear wheel drive ragtop is powered by Fiat's turbocharged 1.4-liter MultiAir 4-cylinder, rated for 160-hp. Developed with Mazda the 124 Spider is like the Miata’s Italian cousin.

2017 GMC Acadia – GMC has refined and scaled down the popular Acadia 3-row SUV making it quieter, more maneuverable, and more fuel efficient. Overall the new design feels a lot more modern but the smaller size does lose a bit of towing capacity.

2017 Jaguar F-Pace – Those waiting for an all-wheel-drive sport utility vehicle with an emphasis on “sport” can wait no more as Jaguar finally launches the F-Pace.  With seating for five, standard all-wheel-drive and a panorama roof the F-Pace will be a strong competitor to compact SUVs from BMW and Mercedes Benz.

2017 Lincoln Continental – Ford is bringing back elegance with the large, luxurious Lincoln Continental, offered with a choice of 3 different powertrains ranging from 303-hp to 400-hp, front-wheel-drive, and three driving modes for “effortless power”.

2017 Volvo XC90 – The most exciting thing about Volvo’s redesigned SUV is that it will come standard with Pilot Assist II, which adds steering assistance to adaptive cruise control so you can “set it and forget it” in traffic as your car does most of the driving for you. The “Excellence” trim level will also be new for 2017 adding a host of ultra-luxury features to the already swanky XC90 cabin.
